Goals and objectives of our organization is as follows:

1. The group has been around since 2000, and we have decided to become registered in Guyana with a new name and purpose in 2022. We will continue to make Christmas toys donation to children. Deliver school supplies to children in schools with donations from the United States. Sometimes collect medical supplies from non-profits in the USA for the needy and poor. May get into awarding Scholarships to achieving students.

2. To hear citizen voices. General public information. Ensure the public gets the right information and that there is an independent nonpartisan nonprofit committee advocacy on education at the local and national level. Meet with members one-on-one, have meetings with members and provide them with correct answers. We may meet with government or non-government officials to encourage participation to help us with the accurate information to assist our members, and to edify and give clarity to ambiguous or unclear statements and help us meet our goals and objectives. This can either be done in person, by phone or online meetings.

Top 20 Reasons to Have Debates.

  1. Since Guyana became Independent in 1966, and a Republic in1970there has not been a mechanism for official political debates.
  2. Debates are good now to educate and inform Guyana citizens of the critical issues facing the country.
  3. Debates are necessary now to fully open the process and to make it transparent and to improve democracy.
  4. Debates are good now to hold the candidates accountable when they are elected to office and keep their feet to the fire on their campaign promises.
  5. Developed nations and developing countries, as well as intermediate and smaller countries have adopted the process of debates between candidates, and to change their culture.
  6. At the National Stadium on September 22, 2022, during an interview with a sports reporter, during the CPL cricket matches our President, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed IrfaanAli said: Guyana is going through a transformative growth, and we are proud of that fact. Therefore, we believe that the new PDCF is another reason for that growth.
  7. It is not fashionable to debate in Guyana, but PDCF will fundamentally, change the country political landscape, and Guyanese should stop viewing their candidates not only through a partisan lens but on issues driven.
  8. We ask now how Guyana can continue with its development program and not have debates for the world to see democracy is flourishing and transparency is improving.
  9. Guyana must come into the 21St Century with debates for candidates invited to debate or candidates requesting a debate.
  10.  During our survey we found that the Guyanese public have welcomed and supported the idea of debates in their political discussion. They told us that they welcome the opportunity to sit back in their living rooms and listen to candidate’s debate on television and radio.
  11. The PDCF directors should not take sides or sanction who won or lost a debate but leave it to the general media and the public at large.
  12.  The PDCF directors those who are media personnel are eligible to be moderators at any debate when selected to do so.
  13.  The PDCF was formed under a “TRUST DEED” with the REPUBLIC OF GUYANA, to hold meetings, add members, and to hold debates.
  14.  The PDCF is the opposite number of GECOM. While they run election’s we will run debates as an independent organization.
  15.  All rules and procedures for debates will be set by the PDCF and their Public Relations Company and can be made public.
  16.  The PDCF will have itsPresident/Founder and CEO.Chairperson term for 5 years with a one-year renewable term consecutively. Additionally, an Executive Director, and fourother directors, coordinators, and other staff members.
  17. Debates are done in the United States, England, Canada, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and around the world, so why not now in Guyana. It’s a game changer and turning point!
  18.  Members of Parliament, government employees, the clergy, the unions, the media, the business community, concerned citizens in Guyana, organizations in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom have all endorsed Public Debates Committee Foundation.
  19.  Finally, our PDCF will be independent, fair, impartial, compassionate, and committed to its cause and purpose. We ask all political parties not to interfereor infiltrate the members of the committee for any purpose but may only send them ideas or suggestions on how to make our organization a better one to serve the Guyanese people.
  20. It is important that citizens around the world get to see their candidate’s debate and get more involved in their country transformative growth.
